I’ve asked my girlfriend to look in on my pigs while I’m out. The Colonel bit her unexpectedly. These were the following texts.

(He’s still really young, he was likely just exploring.)

So I got a Quneo… More to come, such a useful beast.
The visual feedback is an excellent tool, even just for creating things like this.

I’m up for two Jeffs! So thankful and excited.

It’s fine to hate rules and laws if you love concepts and theories.

It can sometimes be lonely being a sound designer at a predominantly visual design event, so I lure people in with candy. Come visit me at the Merritts tonight at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Got ValhallaDSP’s Shimmer today, and made a quick demo video. Seems equally useful for ordinary musical purposes or radical sound design use.

Thought I might show what it can do, this is me more or less trying it for the first time.

The sound source is a DI’d signal from my bass rig, minus my bass, what you’re hearing is the noise from the cable not being plugged in, physical manipulation of the 1/4” plug, and a Digitech Whammy to change the pitch of the noise. All other changes in sound are from the Shimmer. Signal was also run through an EHX Deluxe Bass Big Muff π’s crossover section, to make the noise more listenable.
